Who we are
The simple answer is we are a church in downtown Foxboro with a heart for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been here for a long time, but we are facing a new season. No reason to beat around the bush; our church is in the middle of a significant transition. We are in search of a new senior pastor. We believe that the Lord is faithful, and we look forward to the next chapter on the horizon. But, for now, we stand fast in the faithfulness of Christ. He has shown himself to be faithful in the past, so we are confident he will be faithful in the future.
Where we come from
Church of Emmanuel was founded nearly 115 years ago when a group of believers began to pray that God would provide the funds to purchase the land we are built on today! We have seen a lot of changes over the years, but the one constant, the one steadfast anchor for our church, is God and his word. Fun fact: Our office building, the one near the parking lot, was the first sanctuary!
Emmanuel is a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance - a medium-sized evangelical denomination with a love and passion for overseas mission work. To find out more about the Alliance, check out our denomination’s Webpage & the Statement of Faith.
Where we're going
As we mentioned before, we are searching for a new leader, but our commitment to New England, the good news that God saves sinners, and our belief that the local church is meant to carry the light of Christ into the darkest places will never change. Pray with us as we seek the Lord’s will in our next season. We can’t wait for what’s next!
